Esther's birthday

       Esther is 7. Oh that's a high number. It seemt so far when she was two or thre. Christina is a bit upset, because she is still 5. But nor for a long time, she will  be 6 at the end of June. Both of them will start school in September. It was difficult for us to decied about Christina, it took us more than a month, but after all, this looks the best decision. 

            Esther had a birthday party in the kindergarten. Maria made a big cke, and I took it to the kindergarten. This was a sruprise for Esteher. She was surprized indeed. She also got a barby doll from her mum. We look forward for the family party at grandma's. Adin has her birthday too, so we're gonna have a really big meal there.

Sweeties

When it is time to go to bed, they become vey lively. They do all kind of execises in the bed. I tell them stories or read, they liki it, and beg me all the time. After all I started to like it too.

Family Life conference

It was a good experience to participate at a couples relationship seminar. It was special for me and Maria, because we were the conference speakers on Sunday morning and evening.
We've been trained 5 years ago, and now had the chance to try it. It was interesting to prepare. I found some interesting picture illustrations, and some good quotes and put them in a pp slide.
The seminar was held in Oradea, at the west border, 180 miles from us. A lot of traweling, but it was succesful. It has strengthened our marriage too.

It was organized in a small church for a bout 30-40 couples. Here is the audience.

Esther still needst to wear the cover on her right eye. We force it on her 6 days from 7, from 9 am. to 5 pm.
I also take her to eye exercizes to the City every Wednesday and Friday. She takes ten sessions. She will be examined at the end of the treatment to see how it improved.

Prayer week

Every year, in the first week of January we have prayer week in the baptist churches. We have a prayer guide which is the same for all the hungarian and romanian churches. It is good to know we all together pray for the sam concerns.

It was good to start the year with prayers. Hopefully it sthrengtened the Church, and God listened our prayers.

Last Saturday I took Maria to the meeting of the leaders group of the Sunday School teacher for children. It was near Zalau, so I went to see my parents too for a short time. They are well, my mun feels ok. Prais God.

New Year Eve

In the last day of the year we had a service from 8 pm. then we set around the table and had fun, shared about our experiences from last year. We filled a personality test, which was about working together in a group, the different tipes and how we relate to each other. There were examples from the Bible too. We shared our score, and we discussed it.


There were many toys and games for the kids too. Prais God we have children in the Church.

Christmas tree and pizza

Our girls managed to put the decorations on our little christmas tree. I anly attended. Before Christmas we had pizza with our larger family.

Family celebration

Around every Christmas we meet with the larger family. We celebrate, eat and give gifts. This year we had it at our home in Miercurea. There were the in-laws, and Aron's. Adina and Murray were at honey moon (week).

Big meals

We express our joy by good food, which makes us more happy. This is even greater when we can share this with other people. We invited guests, and also were invited.

Gipsey church

Later in the evening in the second day we met with the gipeies. Now we have a room where they can meet. It is not bigger than the privious. Meny kids, and really hard to keep them quiet.

Second day of Christmas

The second day was as busy as the first. In the afternoon we organized the Christmas in Adruanu M. in the school, in a classroom. There were several parent, grandparent, and others form the village (only ladies).

Miercurea

Just a few of us, but we keep on.

First day of Christmas

Plenty of meetings. I had 4 services. The morning service in Magherani, then Adrianu M. back to Magherani, and Miercurea in the evening. The kids had tehir program, and other guests were invited from the village.

candlelight

We usually have a service at Christmas Eve. The speciality of this is that we sing the Silent night with candlelight. We wnjoyed the christmas songs, and the message of the Christmas story.

They were happy. The church members were ready to help providing a small gift for the old people.

Christmas Eve

Late afternoon with some from the church, went to the old people's home in Magherani. This is a new one, and this was their first Christmas in the home. We had a short service there, with singing and a short sermon, which included my personal testimony. I gave my life to the Lord in a Christmas. Jesus is the Saviour. The miracle of Christmas did not end with His birth, He performed many miracles in His life. The miracles did not end with his death, the apostols continued it, and Jesus still does the miracle of changing lifes.

Kindergarten

Children like Christmas, especially the gifts. This year we managed to make them very happy in the Kindergarten in Miercurea. Withe the help of the shoe box program, we were able to give a very nice and rich gift to 53 kids, and the four teachers.

Christmas 2008

Christmas for us means a lot of work and organizing. We have to distribute the Christmas gifts wisely, schedule the meetings and prepare the sermons.

This Christmas I preached 10 times. It is quite demanding to lead everithing, including the order of the service, the worship and prayer. But it is wery rewarding, we enjoyed it a lot.
